Decoupling

After experiencing trauma, many of us become stuck in fight-or-flight mode and can remain in this heightened state for the rest of our lives. When this response is locked in the "on" position, we begin to make decisions based on survival instincts, often creating harmful situations that reinforce the belief that the world is unsafe. While animals naturally reset their fight-or-flight response, humans lack this ability. However, cultural, ancient medicine practitioners have discovered a way to reset this system, helping clients regain a sense of safety. This powerful process is known as decoupling.

One might require 3-12 decoupling sessions to fully reset the fight-or-flight response, depending on the depth of stress or trauma.
